GURU

I went to watch this hindi movie last night called "guru" with my dad, sis, cousin and his wife. So here i am blogging about the movie. Cant help myself from being a movie critic..*grins*, its not always i write about a movie (last 2 i wrote about was pirates of the carribean and da vincci code), however this time the movie was too good that i couldnt resist myself from not writting about it..*hahha*..

Music: A.R. Rahman..(good job on the music)

*thinks*, there's a lot to say about the movie actually but wouldnt want to spoil it for those who havent watched it yet. Guru is not your typical hindi movie that's for sure.. and by typical i mean, 2 people fall in love but their love is not approved..(bla.bla bla)., fighting scenes, family stories (K3G, kal ho na ho,). It has a very different and interesting story line. Some people might not enjoy the movie but most people i know did. Its not suprising that Guru has received good reviews, after all its directed by mani ratnam (for those who are still blur abt mani ratnam, well his the one who directed BOYs., etc. etc)...Mani ratnam is known for his good and unique movies. His movies have a deeper story line and is very realistic.

What is Guru about???. its a movie that gives you an inside on buisness and the life of an industrialist. It shows the "ups" and "downs" and also how buisness can affect the people around us. There are many values which can be learnt from the movie, and lets just say when you walked out the cinema. your actually walking out with some amount of knowledge on buisness. There were certain parts of the movie which was kinda slow, but overall i would recommend people to watch the movie.

The cast of Guru also contributed and helped make it a enjoyable and pleasant movie to watch.Abishek Bachan and Aishwarya Rai do make a wonderful pair on screen and im sure they will do good off screen (seeing that they're gonna be married). In this movie, you can actually see a diff acting from abhishek compared to Dhoom 2 where he was more serious (didnt like him in Dhoom 2 ). Besides Madhavan who acts as a reporter also does potray good acting like he always does. I never actually seen him acting in a hindi movie, but he did a good job in Guru. Well no good story can be good withouht a good cast and in this case, mani ratnam sure picked a good cast. (note: Malika Sherawat makes a guest appearance as a belly dancer *not suprising*)

A.R Rahman was the music director. Eventhough i didnt really fancy all the songs, but the music and the beat was nice. One song "tere Bina" that was the nicest in that movie. A.R rahman is known for his good songs and he sure did live up to his reputation. The scenery from the movie was really nice. especially the one shot overseas, usually most hindi movies will be filmed in new york, new zealand and other places this time GURU was shot in Istanbul.

oh well, im gonna stop my rambling now.*hehehe*..bottom line is, people if you have a chance, do watch GURU cause its a good movie. (im pretty sure will win awards).
